The church was built in 1625 and for centuries it has been the sanctuary of suiti community helping to preserve their identity and faith in god. In 1882 the church was extended to the sides to obtain the shape of a Cross. 1882. Visitors are welcome to admire Dutch wood-carver Johan Merten’s works. The church organ was made in 1893 in Jēkabpils by F. Veisenborn. The bricked up Schwerin family crypt is situated under the church. . . .
