WALKING TRAIL ALONG THE VENTA RIVER IN KULDĪGA

The trail runs along the left bank of the Venta River all the way to Kuldīga’s new bridge, offering scenic views and the chance to observe the river’s flow.

PĀRVENTA WALKING TRAIL AND KULDĪGA VIEWING TOWER

From the trail and the viewing tower, visitors can enjoy picturesque views across the Venta River toward Kuldīga’s old town, the Alekšupīte Waterfall, the Castle Mills, and the historic brick bridge over the Venta.

KALNANSU BOG TRAIL AND BEZDIBENIS LAKE

A long wooden boardwalk winds through the forest to the bog and its lake, Bezdibenis. The boardwalk is wheelchair-friendly and suitable for parents with strollers. At the lake, there is a well-equipped rest area with a table and benches, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the bog scenery.

WALKING TRAIL ALONG THE VENTA RIVER IN SKRUNDA AND THE “ČIGĀNU PIRTS” SAUNA

A walking trail runs along Skrunda Castle Mound and the Venta River, offering views of the picturesque Kurzeme landscape. The trail features benches, scenic viewpoints, and a traditional sauna, known as the “Čigānu Pirts”, which is free to use if visitors bring their own firewood and sauna brooms.

ŽIBGRAVA NATURE TRAIL

The trail winds through hilly forest terrain along the scenic, meandering banks of the Kauliņupīte River. In the ravine, where heights reach up to 15 m, visitors can observe undisturbed natural processes, with the area captivating through its pristine character and biodiversity.

ĪVANDE MILL LAKE TRAIL

The trail runs along Īvande Mill Lake to a small peninsula, allowing visitors to explore the scenic surroundings of the lake. On the peninsula, there is a picnic area with a table and benches, perfect for taking a break and enjoying the view.

RUDBĀRŽI FOREST PARK AND THE BARONS’ CRYPTS

Rudbārži Forest Park is notable for its untouched nature and old trees. It is a former manor park, covering a total area of 9.6 ha, and is home to both native and 57 introduced tree species.

WATERFALLS OF THE ĪVANDE STREAM

In Renda, two waterfalls have formed on the small Īvande Stream – Īvande Rumba and Valdātu Rumba. Between these two waterfalls, the stream also drops slightly in one other spot, creating a small cascade.
