Lake Zvirgzdu

Lake Zvirgzdu is a clear-water lake with an average depth of 6.3 meters, reaching a maximum depth of 12.3 meters in some spots.

The lake is rich in fish and species diversity, including pike, zander, bream, rudd, tench, crucian carp, perch, ruffe, eel, rudd, roach, bitterling, spined loach, ide, stone loach, and even rainbow trout. The most abundant species are pike, bream, perch, and tench. Historically, the lake was also famous for crayfish, which were very numerous until the 1990s.

Licensed fishing is available at Lake Zvirgzdu. Licenses can be purchased at campsites along the lake, which also offer boat rentals.
