”Pilskrogs” at Ēdole Castle

“Pilskrogs” is located in Ēdole Castle (ANNO 1264), a nationally protected architectural monument, and has been welcoming guests since 2016.

We host our visitors in a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere, serving delicious, hearty meals prepared using mainly local ingredients – vegetables, forest produce, game meat, and fish farmed in Kurzeme.

We offer a wide range of drinks – excellent coffee beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, and products from Užava Brewery. Our famous “Ēdole Castle Crayfish Soup”, created to honor the castle’s connection to the legendary film “Emīla nedarbi”, attracts guests from all over Latvia, sometimes traveling several hundred kilometers just to taste it.

The Pilskrogs menu changes seasonally, with a separate children’s menu, vegetarian and vegan options, and special offers for tourist groups.

Seating capacity:

Main Hall: up to 50 guests
“Niša” Hall: up to 20 guests
“Barona” Dining Hall: up to 100 guests
During the summer season, two-person tables are available on the castle balcony, overlooking the courtyard.

We provide catering for weddings, seminars, and birthdays, both on-site at Ēdole Castle and at locations chosen by our clients.
