The Kuldīga District Museum’s Exhibition and Display Hall

The historic Bangertu Villa is located in one of the most picturesque spots of Kuldīga’s Old Town. From its windows, visitors can enjoy views of Ventas Rumba, the widest waterfall in Europe, the historic Kuldīga Brick Bridge, and the Town Garden, created on the site of a former Livonian Order castle.

At Bangertu Villa, the Kuldīga District Museum invites visitors to step back 120 years in time by exploring the interior exhibition “The Apartment of a Wealthy Kuldīga Resident in the Early 20th Century.” In the study, guests can also discover part of the museum’s extensive map collection, which is one of the largest in the Baltics.

Kuldīga’s Old Town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can learn more about its history in the exhibition “Kuldīga Before Us.”

Bangertu Villa also offers inspiration through its rotating art and history exhibitions, providing a dynamic cultural experience for every guest.
