Snēpele Manor was originally the hunting lodge of the German Baron Haan. The manor house features artistically significant elements, including decorative façade details, the porch railings and door set, as well as three stoves. Both sides of the building are adorned with columned porticos.
In the past, the manor’s first floor included a hall, the baroness’s bedroom with adjacent rooms, and five interconnected rooms. The second floor housed the baron’s hunting guests’ living quarters, with a small bedroom attached to each of the larger rooms. The basement contained the kitchen and utility rooms, with dishes lifted to the second-floor dining hall via a service lift.
The manor and its estate buildings are surrounded by a park, featuring a variety of exotic tree species.
From the manor’s parade courtyard, now marked by an asphalt path, a half-kilometer-long alley of ancient linden trees stretches northwest across the road to the baronial cemetery, covering 4.2 hectares and containing valuable introduced conifer species.
Today, the manor houses historical exhibits, the weavers’ workshop “Vēveri”, and the memorial room of the painter and graphic artist Indriķis Zeberins.
