Padure Manor is an outstanding example of 19th-century Classical architecture, preserved almost entirely in its original form. Built around 1840, it is one of the rare manors in Latvia where historic floors, windows, doors, stoves, staircases, and even wall paintings have survived. The manor is located in the picturesque village of Padure, just a few kilometers from Kuldīga.
Today, the manor is being revived by new owners who are carefully restoring it and opening it to the public. Visitors can:
Join guided tours,
Host weddings, celebrations, and corporate events,
Enjoy overnight stays in an authentic historic setting,
Attend cultural and art events,
Explore the manor through cinematic experience – the popular Latvian TV series “Pansija pilī” was filmed here, and parts of the film’s interior are preserved for viewing.
The manor is not fully restored, which gives it a unique charm – visitors can experience genuine, untouched history and enjoy the tranquility of the Courland countryside.
