The 2.5 km route is designed for walkers and goes around Dziloņezers, allowing visitors to explore the scenic surroundings of this small lake.
The Renda area is home to many picturesque, forest-surrounded lakes, one of which is Dzilonis, also known as Zilonis or Zīlonīša Lake. Its average depth is 3 m, and the water is very clear—perfect for summer swimming.
The route is suitable for any season, as the trail surface is dry, though caution is needed due to pine roots that may trip your feet. Around the lake, there are evenly spaced larger and smaller resting spots.
The route can be extended by approximately 3.7 km to also circle Mežmuiža Lake and visit the small village of Ezeri.
