Kalnansu Bog is located 28 km from Kuldīga, near Kabile. A wooden boardwalk, about 1 km long, winds through the forest to the bog itself and the bog lake, Bezdibenis. The boardwalk is wheelchair-friendly and suitable for parents with strollers. At the lake, there is a well-maintained rest area with a table and benches where visitors can relax and enjoy the bog scenery.

In August and September, the bog showcases a rich diversity of high moss bog nature. There is an abundance of berries here, including lingonberries, blueberries, bog bilberries, cloudberries, cranberries, cowberries, and inedible cloudberry-like plants.

Older publications suggested that Bezdibenis might be the deepest lake in Latvia, reaching 93–117 meters. However, precise echo sounding by the Latvian Natural Rarities Repository has shown that the lake is only about 10 meters deep, with a further sediment layer approximately half as deep.

Before World War II, small-scale peat extraction took place in Kalnansu Bog. Today, however, all economic activity in the area is prohibited.
